The TD Securities’ Investment Banking Group in New York provides banking services to the Media and Communications sector, and commodity based industries that require services including Forest Products, Energy, and Oil and Gas. Our U.S. product offerings include debt underwriting and distribution, private equity, advisory services and risk management for the banks’ portfolio. Our groups can be divided into the following disciplines:

Our team of more than 60 dedicated investment banking professionals located in New York represent a diverse mix of corporate finance, leveraged finance, risk management, advisory services and private equity specialists. Apart from our U.S. based business activities, we also work closely with our Canadian investment banking partners to serve clients on ideas and transactions.

 

Leveraged Finance

 

The Leveraged Finance business represents the combined expertise of the structuring team housed within Leveraged Finance and the distribution and secondary trading capabilities of our Loan & High Yield Sales and Trading team. The group assesses, structures, underwrites and affects distribution of risk in the form of First Lien, Second Lien, Mezzanine and High Yield debt for our clients in the U.S. and Canada. Our significant loan structuring and syndication experience, high level of credibility introducing new issuers to the institutional loan market, and our skills at building and maintaining orderly markets for transactions have made TD Securities a leader in the syndicated and leveraged finance markets.

 

Syndicated & Leveraged Finance

 

Our New York based Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group offers a full range of debt structuring, underwriting and distribution expertise to our clients in the U.S. and Canada. Our significant loan structuring and syndication experience, high level of credibility introducing new issuers to the institutional loan market, and our skills at building and maintaining orderly markets for transactions have made TD Securities a leader in the syndicated and leveraged finance markets.

 

The Syndicated and Leveraged Finance Group supports both our corporate and financial sponsor relationships in significant transactions, including leading acquisition, buy-out and recapitalization financings across a broad range of industries. In addition to serving our U.S. clients, we successfully execute complex U.S. leveraged finance markets centric debt transactions for our Canadian clients in a variety of industries.

 

Our experienced loan and high yield sales & trading group provides world-class distribution and secondary trading capabilities. The group acts as a market maker of leveraged credits in media and telecommunications, energy, and paper and packaging, as well as other credits widely traded in the broader North American and European markets through active relationships with more than 500 investors in the United States, Canada, and Europe.

Loan & High-Yield Sales and Trading

 

Our experienced Loan and High Yield Sales & Trading group provides world-class distribution and secondary trading capabilities. The group is the principal distribution arm supporting the Leveraged Finance business. The group also executes sales and purchases on behalf of other areas managing TD loan portfolios, specifically TD Portfolio Management, Credit Risk Management and other business units. In addition, we conduct secondary trading of high-yield loans and bonds, acting as principal. The group acts as a market maker of leveraged credits in media and telecommunications, energy, and paper and packaging, as well as other credits widely traded in the broader North American and European markets through active relationships with more than 500 investors in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
