TD Securities Equity Derivatives group provides a full suite of equity-related investment products, risk management and hedging solutions to serve large and mid-sized corporations and high net worth individuals.

To help our clients modify their underlying risk exposures or achieve yield enhancement, we take the time to understand the business needs and challenges they face. With this knowledge, we deliver a wide range of equity derivatives – from proprietary arbitrage trading strategies to vanilla product offerings which utilize options, swaps and forwards. The group also creates tailored equity-linked structures designed to achieve a variety of financial objectives relative to a client’s current or prospective equity positions.

With our main trading operation in Toronto, and satellite offices in New York, Dublin and London, we provide sales and trading services to domestic and international clients. We focus on retail, institutional and corporate distribution.

Distinguishing ourselves from our peers

TD Securities has been involved in the equity derivatives business since the mid-1990s, earning us a strong position in the Canadian equity derivatives marketplace and a solid global service franchise which draws on the strength of the TD Bank Financial Group. We continue to increase our presence in the Canadian institutional-listed option market and were ranked number one for two years in a row (2007 & 2008) by the Montreal Exchange for market share of option block crosses.
