Dan Charney
Vice Chair, TD Cowen and Co-Head of Global Markets
Dan is Co-Head of Global Markets, TD Securities and Vice Chair of TD Cowen, a division of TD Securities. He was Co-President of Cowen since 2017 until the company’s acquisition by TD Bank Group in March 2023.
Joining Cowen in 2012, Dan started as Co-Head of Equities. Previously, he was Managing Director and Head of Global Electronic Trading Services as well as Head of U.S. Salestrading at Jefferies. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director and Head of West Coast Equity Distribution at UBS Securities.
In 2022, Dan was named to the Class of David Rockefeller Fellows, a program that gives business leaders who are committed to New York City a first-hand look at how decisions are made to help them become more knowledgeable and engaged citizens of the city.
Dan received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at University of California Berkeley.
