For the second year in a row, Coalition Greenwich, a leading provider of data, analytics and insights to the financial services industry, named our Foreign Exchange Business the Canadian FX Service Quality Leader, according to Canadian corporations and institutional clients.

This announcement stems from the annual Coalition Greenwich Study (formerly the Greenwich Associates Study), which surveys 2,000+ global foreign exchange users, including top-tier accounts, large corporations, and financial institutions.

"This is a significant achievement," says Moti Jungreis, Vice Chair and Head of Global Markets, TD Securities. "It highlights the tremendous work of our FX team, alongside our Technology, Operations, and other corporate partners, and it is a testament to our stellar client service."

Staying connected in a pandemic

This vote of confidence reflects the growth of our FX business over the last few years. Client feedback helps us better understand financial goals, deliver competitive pricing, secure large market transactions, offer balanced trades, and extend extraordinary support in a crisis.

"2020 was a challenging year on many levels, and the success we've had in connecting with clients during the pandemic stems from TD's culture of striving to provide the best client service and solutions," says Paul Byrne, Managing Director and Head of Corporate & Commercial FX Sales, Canada, TD Securities. "I think we, and our clients, now realize how quickly we can adapt in an uncertain and rapidly changing environment."

Our framework for success

The results of the Coalition Greenwich Study demonstrate our proficiency across the trade cycle: from pricing, to confirmation, to execution. We remain top ranked in many sales and relationship management categories, including providing intense coverage, being the first call for confidential trades, having the top sales representatives, and presenting the most creative ideas and solutions.

"It's great to hear clients rank TD as their first call for confidential trades, among many service shout-outs," says Eric Poteet, Managing Director and Head of North American Institutional FX Sales, TD Securities. "Our objective is to be a trusted partner to our clients, understand their FX needs holistically, and develop innovative solutions accordingly."

Our commitment to innovation runs deep. Recent strategic partnerships with fintech companies have expanded our FX algorithm offering; a timely example of finding opportunities for clients in the surge of FX algorithms during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We expect more growth ahead. In the meantime, we're focused on maintaining our momentum and supporting the needs of our clients as the Canadian FX Service Quality Leader.
