Who can use TDFX?

TDFX is a service offered to commercial, corporate and small business clients with a TD Securities banking relationship.

Do I still have access to my FX trader?

Yes. TDFX is an alternative delivery channel intended to complement the quality of service that your TD Securities trader currently provides.

Can I trade on behalf of more than one company?

Yes. TDFX provides you with the ability to trade on behalf of multiple companies with a single user ID and password.

Can more than one person trade on behalf of my company?

Yes. Signing officers of the company have the option to designate whomever they wish to have access to TDFX. Each user is given their own user ID and password.

How much does it cost to use TDFX?

There is no charge to use this service.

How do I get started?

Speak to your FX trader to find out if you qualify to trade online. If you qualify, your trader will process a request to set you up on TDFX. You will receive an email notification from TDFX when your access has been activated.

How do I sign in to TDFX?

Upon receipt of your application, a temporary password will be forwarded to your email account. Please contact your FX trader for your user ID.

Am I committed to the trade when I request a rate?

No. When a rate is requested you have a window of time before making your final decision to accept or reject the trade.

Can I use multiple settlement instructions?

Yes. You continue to have access to the same functionality you have through your FX trader, including the ability to select from multiple settlement instructions, which includes wire payments.

What are the different forms of Internet security available?

SSL (secure socket layer) Encryption Technology - this is the basis for all Internet security.

SSL creates a secure point-to-point connection between your browser and another party’s server, in this case, TDFX.

SSL provides the following functions:

Authentication: verifies you are not visiting an imposter’s web site.
Message Privacy: All information sent between you and TDFX is automatically encrypted.
Message Integrity: SSL is able to determine if a single character in your request has been changed so that each party knows that what they’re seeing is exactly what was sent.
There are two different levels of SSL encryption used to secure today’s Internet communications, 40-bit and 128-bit.

Which level of security does TDFX use and why?

We place a great deal of effort ensuring the integrity of the data you transmit online to us and in preserving the confidentiality of your transactions. Our security procedures include:

128-bit SSL encryption technology, one of the most secure encryption methods available today.
Unique user IDs are assigned to each client and will be disabled after multiple failed login attempts.
Ensuring passwords created by you are encrypted, are of a minimum length, and are non-repetitive.
The use of TD Bank Group’s trusted Internet and firewall protocols when you bank or trade online. These protocols are continuously monitored and independently verified.

How do I know if a website is secure?

Three quick clues you can use to determine if a website is secure:

The website address begins with "https" (Secure Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) rather than the more common "http".
The padlock in the lower left-hand corner of the navigator window of Internet Explorer will be closed.
Internet Explorer browsers have built-in security mechanisms that notify you with a warning message before you try to send information to an unsecured site.

How do I determine the actual level of protection that is supporting a website?

Internet Explorer users:

Go to the website you want to check.
Right click on the website’s page and select properties.
Click the certificates button.
In the fields box, select "encryption type". The details box shows you the level of encryption.

What are the minimum system specification I must have in order to use TDFX?

We suggest that your system has the following specifications to ensure optimal use of TDFX:

Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP 2, Win 2000, Win XP
500 Mhz processor
Memory: 128 MB Ram
Disk space: 1 Gb
Screen settings: 1024x768 resolution
Internet Explorer 7.0 or lower supporting 128-bit encryption

How do I determine what browser version I have and the level of security it supports?

Internet Explorer:

Go to the Help menu and select About Internet Explorer.
At this point there will be a statement indicating the browser version. If the cipher strength is 128-bit, then you are ok.

To upgrade:

Link to Internet Explorer Upgrade.
Select either the browser version you wish to upgrade to, or the Internet Explorer High Encryption link to upgrade your existing browser to support 128-bit encryption.
Follow the directions for install.
Log out of the Internet and then log back in for the upgrade to take effect.
