Renu Gupta

Renu Gupta is currently an EVP at TD Bank Group, where she serves as Firmwide Global Head of Strategy & Corporate Development and CFO of the TD Securities segment. In her role leading Firmwide Strategy & Corporate Development, she has responsibility for developing and driving TD’s organic and inorganic strategies including strategic business planning and execution of M&A and partnership deals across all businesses in its global footprint. In her role as CFO of the TD Securities segment, she leads a global finance team overseeing financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, product control, regulatory reporting, internal controls, capital and liquidity management, and remediation work.

In her previous roles at TD, she had responsibility for Firmwide Financial Planning & Analysis and Investor Relations, where she managed financial reporting and forecasting and oversaw relationships with TD’s investors and the analyst community. Renu has also held roles in Treasury, including leading Enterprise Capital, Funding, and Recovery & Resolution Planning.

Prior to joining TD in 2020, Renu was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where she spent 20 years in a variety of senior roles in the Investment Banking Division across M&A and financing. She was most recently in the Financial Institutions Group, responsible for capital markets, risk management, and asset optimization transactions for financial services clients. Prior to that role, Renu worked in various industry coverage groups, developing expertise in M&A, IPO, and LBO transactions.

Renu is committed to fostering a corporate culture of inclusivity and is passionate about empowering and mentoring women in the financial sector. She currently heads TD Finance’s Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Council that focuses on driving positive and impactful change across the Bank.

Renu holds a BA in Cognitive Neuroscience from Harvard College and lives in New York with her husband and two children.
